If your barbecue is dusty, it’s time to wash and get it ready for action – it’s going to be a scorcher!
Met Eireann is predicting that temperatures will reach 26C in some places over the coming weekend.
Saturday will start off rather dull and cloudy, but brighter conditions will arrive towards the afternoon, with temperatures hovering around the 21-23C mark.
Sunday will be even warmer, as the thermometer reaches 26C across Leinster, Munster, and east Ulster. Western counties will be slightly cooler.
The settled conditions are set to stay until the middle of next week at least, when a turn for the worse is expected.
