Scraping the desperation barrel: Russian parliament passes law allowing for the enlisting of criminals into the regular Russian army

The Russian parliament is truly scraping the bottom of the desperation barrel, as the political body has passed a law allowing for the enlisting of criminals into the regular Russian army, something that would have been unthinkable around the same time last year.

Those unfortunates who sign up are promised to be free from any criminal liability if they survive, but the average life expectancy of a newly conscripted Russian soldier once they arrive at the Ukrainian front lines is a mere four hours. Most convicts have zero military experience to begin with, so they’re not even likely to last that long.

The parliament’s move clearly shows the deadly efficiency of the Ukrainian killing machine, which has been consistently grinding Russian meat for several months, and it actually seems to be getting much better at it. Only today we reported that bullet-ridden bodies of hundreds of Russian servicemen are lining the approaches to any settlement liberated by the Ukrainian army. Ukrainian operators simply swat their foes away and keep moving forward.
