Search continues for 2-yr-old boy who fell into river in Leicester

While on a stroll in Leicestershire, a family member dove into a river to save a two-year-old kid who had fallen into frigid water, reports Metro.

The youngster was reported missing in Braunstone while out with his family over twenty-four hours ago.

With the rain not stopping, fears are mounting that he has perished in the swelling River Soar.

The “major” search has been resumed by emergency personnel, but the effort is becoming increasingly difficult due to rising water levels.

There is a perimeter in place, and law enforcement, fire, and water rescue crews are still on the site close to Aylestone Road, reports Metro.

Along with the addition of a helicopter to the search, officers can be seen combing the river with sticks.

Following the incident at 5 p.m. yesterday, a guy from the site was sent to the hospital “as a precautionary measure.”

Following the boy’s disappearance in the sea, locals in Leicester have detailed the tumultuous circumstances, reports Metro.
