The search operation for an Irishman who has been missing since he fell on Mount Everest last week, has been called off his family have confirmed.
According to RTÉ News, the family Séamus Lawless confirmed that the current search operation has been called off on expert advice.
It is believed that the search operation was called off due to severe weather conditions in the region.
Mr Lawless a Trinity College professor has been missing since fell during his descent on the mountain last week.
RTÉ News say Mr Lawless’s family have thanked the public for their recent donations to a GoFundMe page setup to assist in finding Mr Lawless.
