A search operation for a woman who fell overboard whist on a cruise ship has been called off, authorities have confirmed.
The operation which was launched on Sunday, has been called off as search teams were unable to locate the woman.
It is reported that the 63-year-old Korean woman fell from the Norwegian cruise ship whilst it was travelling from Cannes to Palma de Mallorca.
However despite a rescue being launched immediately after the incident was reported, authorities say the operation has ceased without the woman being found.
They say they would like to offer their deepest sympathies and condolences to the woman’s family.
