Gardaí in Co Galway say search is still currently ongoing for a 70-year-old man who got separated from a walking party on the mountains at Maam Cross in Galway yesterday evening.
It is understood the man was reported missing at approximately 6.30pm after he git separated from the group. It is understood that members of the Mayo Mountain Rescue and Costelloe Bay Coast Guard, along with the assistance of other local mountain rescue units were called in to help search for the missing man.
It is believed the missing man had a phone with him when he got lost and Gardaí hope it could help locate him.
