Second Big Freeze of winter 2017 on the way, as temperatures set to drop below zero again next week




The weekend and the beginning of the coming week are expected to be relatively mild, with predominantly settled conditions and temperatures reaching 10C in places.

But the weather is expected to take a turn for the worse fom mid-week onwards, as wind changes to a northwesterly direction.

Temperatures will sink to single digits, with wintry showers and snow flurries on high ground likely from Thursday on.
