The city of Paris is under siege on two different fronts today, as a new hostage situation is unfolding at a kosher supermarket in the eastern side of the city.
There are reports at this time that at least two people have been killed in this incident, in which at least six hostages may have been taken.
Police and special forces have established a lockdown area around the supermarket.
In the meantime, hostage negotiators have established contact with the two main suspects in the Charlie Hebdo killings.
Brothers Said and Cherif Kouachi are reportedly holed up inside a print shop in northeast Paris. They have said that they are ‘ready to die as martyrs’. It is believed the brothers are also holding a hostage inside the building.
