Second large hotel in Dungarvan rumoured to be turned into an asylum centre – Local Tourism sector gets hit another blow

Questions are being raised about a newly opened hotel in the centre of the picturesque seaside town of Dungarvan in West Waterford after a notice on their website stated “our rooms have been reserved through June 2022 for a long term contract.”

The popular 360 Quay Stay Hotel is situated in the centre of Dungarvan and was opened around this time last year.

The owner of the hotel also owns a coffer shop called Jitterbeans and the 360 cookhouse restaurant, both in Dungarvan.

Watch a recent interview with the owner of the 360 Quay Stay Hotel and google at the luxury accommodation.

In 2016, another large seaside hotel, the Clonea Strand entered into a TWO year contract with the Office for the Promotion of Migrant
Integration (OPMI) within the Department of Justice to house refugees from Syria.
SIX years later, the Clonea Strand Hotel is still in full use as a refugee centre.
