After a gruelling 4 months, and more than 100 voices heard, four people made it to the final.
Kieran McKillop (23) from Antrim, Sarah McTernan (21) from Clare, and Emma Humber (19) and Patrick Donoghue (23) from Dublin.
Out of the foursome, coaches’ favorite Patrick Donoghue took the prize. The Dunnes Stores worker now has a record deal with Universal Music worth €100,000.
The Dublin man had performed consistently well throughout, earning comparisons to British singer Sam Smith.
When he was announced as the overall winner, he broke down in tears and was unable to speak.
