A Kildare man was interviewed on Monday night’s Claire Byrne Live after he returned from Asia where he was working in an office where someone who had coronavirus was present.
Concerned citizen Owen O Cogain said how he thankfully felt well but was concerned about the possibility that he may be infected with the virus.
Health officials are said to be in contact with Mr O Cogain and he is following their advice.
Meanwhile there’s major concern that an outbreak could happen in Italy after a number of people over the last 72 hours have become infected with the virus.
People have been advised to only wear face masks if they believe that they may be infected with the virus and that wearing them prior to infection could actually lead to more of risk of contracting the virus.
