Brave Dublin woman Eve Ryan told of her harrowing story on Monday night’s Claire Byrne Live show.
Eve said that she had just given her granny, who she lives with, her dinner one evening in January and proceeded to go upstairs.
When she was upstairs, Eve said she heard a noise that couldn’t be her granny and came out to see a 6ft tall man with a balaclava on and five other men with him.
They grabbed her demanding money and jewellery and asked then proceeded to pour bleach all over her and threw her into an en suite toilet.
Her poor granny, who has dementia, possibly thankfully knew that nothing was going on and Eve had to wait some 20 hours to be rescued.
The articulate lady said that the whole ordeal was so traumatic for her and her granny and that they have decided to sell their house and move after being living there for some 18 years.
