Several GAA players “will be fine” but require surgery following fall from truck

There’s good and bad news in relation to Saturday evening’s awful accident involving the GAA junior b players in Enniskerry.

A number of players fell off a truck while they were parading through the town celebrating a win in Avaco in Wicklow.

Video of the fall emerged on social media and quickly went viral, especially on Whatsapp.

The team were paraded through the town on truck when a number of them fell off when the truck moved.

Thankfully it’s been confirmed that no one has life threatening injuries and that they will all be fine, according to GAA officials but some are receiving surgery today in St Vincent’s hospital for minor injuries.

Some GAA officials have asked for the footage to remain private, however many people have been commented that the footage should be shown widely to stop such an accident happening in the future when GAA players are celebrating wins.
