Severe weather continues -two more weather warnings issued




The country is currently being lashed by severe winds of up to 140km/h, and the situation is not expected to improve anytime soon.

Met Eireann has issued two more weather warnings today. An Orange warning for high winds covers Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Cork, Kerry, and Limerick.

Meanwhile, a Yellow warning has been issued for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Roscommon, Tipperary, and Waterford.

These warnings will remain in place until 2pm today.

Storm Eleanor has caused widespread flooding and damage, particularly across the west coast.

Up to 55,000 homes and businesses were left without power yesterday.
