More than 4,000 children were registered as homeless for the first time in November, new figures published by the Department of Housing revealed, reports The Mirror.
The number of homeless children increased to 4,105 in November from 3,991 in October, an increase of 114 over the month.
The number of homeless people hit a new record in November, when the number of people living in emergency accommodation rose to 13,514, reports The Mirror.
This shows that 9,409 adults and 4,105 children were living in emergency accommodation.
