She was going for a run: Five migrants in court in connection with Ashling Murphy murder inquiry




Three women and two men appeared at Tullamore County Court for an investigation into the alleged murder of Ashling Murphy, reports RTE.

A 23-year-old elementary school teacher was murdered in Tullamore, Co. Offaly on January 12, 2022.

Marek Puska, 34, Lubomir Puska, 35, and Lucia Istokova, 34, whose addresses cannot be released by court order, are accused of failing to disclose information to the Gardaí on an unknown date between two dates last year.

Jozefina Grundzova, 33, and Vieira Gaziova, 38, were charged with detaining a person or obstructing justice, reports RTE.

Judge Andrew Coady also ordered a ban on publication of their addresses.

Judge Cody was told that the Director of Public Prosecutions had ordered all five to be prosecuted in the Central Criminal Court.

He remanded them on bail and ordered them to appear in court again on September 27 to testify.

In court, the accused was assisted by a Slovak interpreter, reports RTE.
