This afternoon, there is yet another bomb threat against Justice Minister Helen McEntee at her house in County Meath.
Through the Samaritans helpline, a man claiming to be incarcerated at Mountjoy Prison made the threat, reports Sunday World.
Shortly after 1:00 pm, local detectives responded to the scene at Ms. McEntee’s residence, and the Special Detective Unit (SDU) is on its way as well.
To help with a search of the minister’s residence, the Gardaà were also in the process of hiring an explosives dog.
“Gardaà are investigating a potential threat against an elected representative in the east of the country,” a statement from Garda headquarters stated, reports Sunday World.

According to what The Irish Independent has been told, the caller to the Samaritans purportedly called from Mountjoy jail.
According to a different source, the caller said another prisoner had mentioned there were explosives left at the justice minister’s Meath house, making the threat “more circumspect” than prior bomb threats made to the minister through the Samaritans.
The minister has now received two bomb threats in as many months. Convicted rapist Michael Murray received an extra two years in jail earlier this year for calling in a fictitious bomb threat on McEntee, reports Sunday World.
Murray is already serving a 19-year term for rape. Murray was originally of Seafield Road, Killiney, County Dublin.
Since then, it has come to light that he is also the main suspect in the fictitious bomb threat that was made against Taoiseach Simon Harris on June 26.
The State’s counterterrorism unit, the Garda Special Detective Unit, is now conducting an inquiry, reports Sunday World.
