The PSNI have revealed that a 14-year-old boy was shockingly arrested for drink driving over the Christmas period.
The startling revelation comes as the force announced figures for its annual Anti-drink driving winter innovative.
According to the figures in the region of 11,000 people were tested during the period resulting in 322 arrests.
Although the figures were considered a decrease over recent years, the police service confirmed that they are still alarmed by the high number of drink driving offences being committed.
Amongst the findings, the force confirmed that a 14-year-old boy was arrested for drink driving, whilst the eldest offender was an 83-year-old man who was also arrested for drink driving.
Following the publication of the findings police confirmed that all offenders are facing serious penalties which could result in the loss of their licence and even some prison sentences.
