There was some alarming news this Christmas day as the country’s Childline service have said they received nearly 1,200 calls, texts and messages from children and teenagers.
The children’s charity claim the majority of calls where from young children who were feeling the pressure’s of issues in their home such as financial problems, family difficulties, isolation and alcohol abuse.
The charity say they had seventy volunteers on hand yesterday afternoon for children who needed help.
