Gardai in North Dublin are currently hunting for two men after they deliberately set fire to a Spar store with people inside last weekend.
According to Dublin Live, the terrifying incident which occurred at Shanowen Spar near DCU in Santry, last Saturday, has led Gardai to hunt for the individuals involved.
Dublin Live state the store was doused in petrol by the men one of whom was armed with a hammer, before it was set a light with customers and staff inside.
Although thankfully no one was injured in the incident, staff working at the store were praised for the quick thinking and their reactions as they managed to evacuate everyone from the store safely.
It is not yet known why the incident occurred, Gardai say they were alerted to the inident which occurred at approximatley 8am on Saturday the 28th of July.
They also said the fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters from Dublin Fire Brigade who arrive quickly at the scene.
