Shocking moment masked thug openly carries knife in in Dublin ahead of fatal stabbing

In this horrifying scene, a masked man is seen wielding a knife in a crowded Dublin street, resulting in the death of another man who was stabbed, reports The Mirror.

Photos taken at the site also reveal a group of men fighting on South Anne Street, close to Grafton Street, at approximately three in the morning this morning, right before the victim was slain.

In addition to the man who died, another man was seriously injured in the event, and the Gardai have now opened a murder investigation, reports The Mirror.

When emergency personnel and the Gardaí arrived on the site, they discovered the man unconscious and seriously injured. Emergency services workers treated him on the spot and took him to St. James’ Hospital. But he unfortunately passed away from his wounds.

After suffering non-life-threatening injuries, another man in his 30s was admitted to the hospital. He is still recuperating from what is thought to have been knife injuries as well, reports The Mirror.

Today, the place was roped off so that the Garda Technical Bureau could inspect the area. Blood was still visible along the area’s route, which is a popular destination for nightlife.

The deadly attack prompted about a dozen establishments on the street, including Bunsen, Xian Street Food, Gotham Café, and Kehoe’s Pub, to stay closed. According to impacted business owners, the capital needs a larger Garda presence.

Sean Phillips of Kehoe’s Pub tomanld RTÉ News: “There’s 10 or 12 businesses closed today and Saturday is one of our busiest days. You just see the blood on the street. That’s horrendous of a Saturday morning. There has to be more guards on the beat in and around the city centre,” reports The Mirror.

CCTV footage revealed over 150 persons in the neighbourhood overnight, according to Ash Thulseepersad, senior manager of The Gotham Café. He went on to say that he believed South Anne Street to be a sufficiently secure neighbourhood. But since “drugs and booze were going around last night,” he claimed, “something was bound to happen.”

The deadly stabbing of a man in Dublin city centre, according to Labour’s Aodhán Ó Ríordáin MEP, is a heartbreaking reminder of how drastically the capital has changed, and not in a good way.

Mr Ó Ríordáin said: “The news of the incident on the streets of Dublin in the early hours of this morning is absolutely heartbreaking. First and foremost, my thoughts are with the victim’s family and loved ones. But we cannot ignore what this means for our city. People no longer feel safe in Dublin. Workers, visitors, and residents deserve better. Before the election, Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil made a big show of the publication of the Dublin City Taskforce report. They claimed to have a plan to tackle crime, dereliction, and anti-social behaviour. But where is the implementation report? Where is the follow-through? Promises mean nothing if they don’t translate into action,” reports The Mirror.
