Michael Murphy didn’t hold back on last night’s PrimeTime on RTE One.

The security expert is the only voice of reason over the past few days in terms of Ireland’s security status.

Murphy said that in terms of digital security and general antiterrorism, Ireland has updated its security in some 40 years.

He quipped that the gardai are the only organisation in Europe that have to both police and secure the country.

He said he desperately need a new professional approach to antiterrorism. He said that it costs €1 million to monitor just one potential Islamic terrorist in Ireland.

He conveyed how there is basically no plan put in place to combat a major Islamic terrorist attack.

The is growing concern now that Islamic terrorists could be living among us here in Ireland or are planning an attack overseas based here in Ireland.
