An electrician who was sick and tired of thieves after having tools worth £5000 stolen from his van has decided on an unusual way of protecting it in the future – he’s fitted the van with a system that will give any future thieves a violent electric shock.
According to the Sun, Ray Taylor’s van will first send out a siren similar to the noise of a jumbo jet taking off. Even if the thief isn’t put off by the noise of the siren, he will then get an electric shock when he grabs the door handle. Everyone is also given a fair warning that touching the van door is risky as Ray has fitted a sign saying “Danger Live Terminals”.
While the police are alleged to have said that they wouldn’t endorse this system as a method of protecting property, Ray is very happy that his van will be safe in the future.
