A truck driver was arrested after being caught driving 12 times over the alcohol limit.
The shocking incident happened in the Little Island area of Co. Cork on Monday last.
The driver was taken to a police station and will appear in court in due course.
Almost 9,000 motorists were caught driving under the influence of either alcohol or other intoxicants in 2017.
