Shoppers pay almost 70% more in Ireland’s IKEA outlets than most EU counterparts for the same products, it has emerged today.
The Swedish retailer has increased prices by up to a massive 80% worldwide, but the retailer has figured out that Irish shoppers are chumps who pay anything they’re asked to.
According to IKEA, the price gouging is due to ‘surging raw materials and transport cost’, and the old reliables, the war in Ukraine and inflation.
