A couple in Germany has been jailed after being found guilty of the continual sexual abuse of their son over a two-year period and for allowing pedophiles they had contacted online to abuse the child in return for cash, RTE reports.
The boy, who is now 10-years-old, was abused by his mother and step-father and then over a two-year-period between 2015 and 2017, the child was subjected to sexual abuse by pedophiles that the couple had approached via the so called “dark web”.
The woman (48) and man (39) were sentenced to a 12 years in prison for rape, sexual abuse, forced prostitution and distributing indecent images of children, while the man must remain in preventative custody after his sentence is finished as he has previous convictions for child abuse The Guardian reported.
The two are part of a gang of eight who were arrested last Autumn, and several others have already been convicted and jailed in relation to this crime.
The couple were also ordered to pay €42,500 in compensation to the boy and another victim, who is a young girl.
