Police in London have launched an investigation after a 90 year old woman was badly beaten by a ruthless thug during a home invasion.
The sickening attack which occurred at Brampton Road in Kingsbury, north of the Wembley area in the British capital has prompted police to release the following photos.
It is believed the elderly woman named as Iris Warner was found going in and out of consciousness on Monday afternoon.
According to Sky News, police investigating the brutal attack have said the woman was subjected to relentlessly abuse which resulted in her receiving bad brusing to her face, arms and legs.
Officers have also said that Mrs Warner has given an official statement about the attack and although she cannot identify her attacker, the distraught pensioner has said she remembers her attacker standing over her with a weapon.
It is believed that the frightened pensioner recieved multiple blows to her head and body during the sickening attack, which is suspected to have happened between the hours of 12pm on Saturday June 2nd and 12pm on Monday June 4th.
Police also say the elderly woman was that badly beaten her life was in extreme danger.
They also say the photographs were released to the public in the hope that they can help prompt anyone with any information to come forward and contact them.
