The Minister for Higher Education Simon Harris has defended the Tanaiste Leo Varadkar following his attendance at festival in thr UK.
Speaking about the incident Harris said that everyone including the Tanaiste is entitled to a bit of down time and a day off.
Harris went on to say that Varadkar had a busy week in the UK and he decided to attend the festival which he was entitled to do so.
Harris’s comments come after the Taoiseach Micheal Martin said that even the Tanaiste was entitled to a bit of private time.
