There have been fresh calls for the Minister for Health Simon Harris to resign in the wake of the latest horrendous trolley figures.
A total of 534 people languished on trolleys around the country yesterday with absolutely no signs of the crisis abating.
According to figures published by the INMO University Hospital Limerick had the highest total of 57 people waiting on beds.
Meanwhile there were 44 waiting on a bed at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, and 39 waiting on a bed at South Tipperary General Hospital.
A poll held by The Liberal found that 91% out of 12,000 people want Harris to resign.
