It’s a tough time for everyone at the moment but thousands of homes across Ireland shone brightly for a couple of minutes in unison to shine a light of hope.
As Sinead O’Connor started to sing, homes around the country switched on lights, turned on their phone touch, candles and just about any other light that you can think of.
