Sinn Fein still the country’s most popular party in latest poll




Sinn Fein are still top of the pile in terms of public support as the party are the country’s most popular party.

According to a poll carried out by the Irish Mail on Sunday,  Sinn Fein are leading the race in terms of public opinion standing at 28% despite a drop of just over 1%.

The poll which had over 1,000 respondents also showed that  there was a drop in support for Fine Gael whp are on 25.6%, whilst Fianna Fáil also dropped slto 14.7%.

However there was some good news for the Greens as they saw a rise in support bringing them to 4.5%.

Elsewhere there was a rise in support for the Social Democrats up to 5.7%, Labour who are up to 4.9%, whilst Aontú saw a slight increase up to 4.1%.

However there was bad news for Solidarity/People Before Profit as they dropped 3.1%, whilst the Independents and others are  currently at 9.4%.
