Louise O’Reilly, a newly elected Sinn Fein TD and former SIPTU organiser, has called on the acting Minister for Transport Paschal Donohoe to do something in the long-running Luas dispute over pay and conditions.
Ms. O’Reilly said that the minister needs to take immediate action.
She said: “We think there’s a role for Paschal Donohue on this, he’s still the acting minister until a Government is formed.
“I think he needs to get involved in the Luas dispute, he’s tried to put himself at a distance from it… he’s getting paid to be the acting minister for transport, he needs to do his work.”
