Sinn Fein’s Martin McGuinness branded “a traitor” after he pleads with republicans to vote for Britain to stay in Europe

Former Republican Martin McGuinness who is now deputy first minster in the Stormount Government was branded a traitor by Irish nationalists on both sides of the Irish border for his gushing pleas to Republicans to vote to stay under EU rule in Northern Ireland.

One lifelong SF supporter said
“After the years and years of struggle under foreign rule this man now expects us to vote to replace that with Europe, is he mad? Does he know anything about the EU austerity that has been imposed on the Irish people in the South, it’s OK for him being paid a big fat salary by the Queen and shaking hands with her as well.”

Another social media user commented
“It now looks like Sinn Fein will be even better servants for their masters in Europe than Enda Kenny was, and that takes some beating !!”

The question people are asking is, where does the traditional Sinn Vein anti-EU vote go now?

Ironically the DUP, the main Unionist party will be campaigning for freedom for Northern Ireland from the EU.
