Six cyclists have been left in a critical condition in hospital after a truck crashed into them during a racing event in the United States.
It is understood that a truck ploughed through the cyclists in the town of Show Low, Arizona, in early Saturday morning. The truck fled the scene, but troopers soon caught up with it and shot the driver, a 35-year-old male, who survived the encounter and is in a critical condition in hospital.
The motive for the incident remains unclear.
