A man strolling down a Dublin beach found a human skull yesterday afternoon.
The grim discovery was made at Burrow beach in Sutton, at around 1pm. Gardai were called, and another bone was found shortly afterwards.
A doctor verified that the skull is human. The remains were taken to the city morgue for further examination.
A Garda spokesman confirmed that the skull had been in the sea for a long time.
