Figures just released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) show the unemployment rate fell 0.2% to 10.1% over the month of February.
The Live Register Figures from the CSO show that just over 355,000 people were signing on last month.
Minister Richard Bruton said “the numbers of unemployed are down by 43,000 on the same time last year,” adding that “I believe we’ll shortly head below 10% unemployment- that would be a very significant landmark.”
