Google has dealt a major blow to Chinese tech firm Huawei, after announcing that Huawei products will no longer be allowed to include the Android operating system.
The move comes on foot of an US-led crackdown on Chinese tech companies, due to ‘security concerns.’ A number of intelligence agencies have claimed that there are indications that Huawei may use its products to ‘spy’ on western interests.
Huawei smartphones, which are hugely successful in China and in parts of Europe, are already banned in the US.
