New proposals have been fielded to ban smoking at bus stops and school gates, among other smoke-free areas.
Smoking is currently banned in the workplace, restaurants, bars, education facilities, public transport, and inside private vehicles when children are present.
If passed, the new proposals would extend the ban to bus stops, the surroundings around railway stations, within 100 feet of the front gates of schools, outside community centres, and in youth clubs.
