Snow way! Forecasters claim Ireland and the UK will get the worst winter since 2010 with temperatures of -11c

The big freeze is on its way, according to forecasters in the UK who’ve predicted that Ireland and the UK will get its worst winter in more than five years.

The cold and snowy weather is set to arrive by December will come as brisk winds from the North pole will descend over the UK and Ireland before the end of November.

Forecasters in the UK say the expected cold snap which will last right into the new year will bring snow, ice and frost as temperatures are expected to drop as low as -11C.

They also say that this coming winter could potentially be one of the worst on record as Artic winds will bring bitterly cold conditions similar the snow that Ireland saw in December 2010.

Temperatures for the coming weekend are set to drop to below zero with light snow forecast high areas.
