
A four day weather warning has been issued as Ireland is preparing for snow and freezing conditions from Sunday.
In a an announcement Met Eireann have issued a four day warning beginning on Sunday and will end on Wednesday.
The national forecaster say there will be showers of sleet and snow beginning on Sunday night with icy patches expected overnight.
Met Eireann say it is expected that temperatures in low single figures by the day and with sharp or severe frosts and icy patches overnight.
They added that conditions are expected to be hazardous especially on roads and paths.
