It has emerged today that Gardai will not arrest the so-called “Irish ISIS bride” Lisa Smith when she returns to Ireland, but will ‘quiz’ her instead.
Originally from Dundalk, the ex-ISIS member had been detained in a Syrian camp for some time, but it is understood that she and her two-year-old daughter have now left the camp and could already be on their way to Ireland as we speak.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has all along openly admitted his support for bringing Ms. Smith to Ireland despite her involvement with a known extremist and terrorist organisation.
