Penneys has launched its new customer website in Ireland following a successful launch in the UK last year.

Penneys, which operates as Primark in the UK and other markets in Europe and the US, said the site was created to better connect the journey between online research and in-store shopping.

It features thousands of products from all of Penneys main ranges, plus a new feature that allows customers to check availability and stock levels at their local Penneys store.

However, customers cannot shop online on the website with social media users asking that online sales are included in the new website, claiming that they’d actually buy more if items were available online.

Damien O’Neill, head of Penneys Ireland and Northern Ireland, said the company knows its customers love to come to its stores, but now wants to make it easier for them to see what’s in stock by offering a very wider than its shops. showcased online so they can browse and check stock availability before visiting their local store, reports RTE.

Primark’s new website will roll out to the remaining 13 markets over the next few months.
