Something went badly wrong – 21 residents die from coronavirus in Dublin care home

In what can only be described as truly shocking revelation, 21 elderly, frail and disabled residents of one Dublin care home all died from coronavirus.

St Mary’s centre in the Phoenix Park saw lab results showing a total of 21 residents died from covid-19 with a number of other residents and staff members also contracting coronavirus.

The Phoenix Park care home is the largest care centre in the country and is run by the HSE.

The HSE has offered sympathies to residents, their families and staff and say that they’re in increased contact with all concerned.

An outbreak control team is on site and is trying to get the situation under control by delivering more PPE’s and testing equipment.

Many are now calling for a major inquiry as to how such a tragedy occurred with many left pointing the finger at Leo Varadkar and Simon Harris.
