Chinese city of 10 million on lockdown after new outbreak of Covid-19

The Chinese government has placed Harbin, a city of 10 million people, on lockdown after scientists raised concerns about a possible new outbreak of the Covid-19 virus.

The largest city in Heilongjiang province, has also banned all foreigners from entering residential zones and enacted 14-day lockdowns for residences where confirmed and asymptomatic cases are found.

The global pandemic which has brought much of the world to a standstill originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan, but the country has claimed the virus was brought under control within its borders in March.

Heilongjiang province borders Russia but China implemented one the strictest border control regimes in the world after allowing the virus to leave its shores and infect almost every other country on the planet having lied about human to human contraction of the virus.

These lies were supported at the time by the WHO despite evidence provided by Taiwan countering the claims of the Beijing regime.
