According to Irish Water, lead issues have been ‘ongoing’ for years.
Some Dublin residents, however, have only now received their first notification about lead contamination in their water supply, even though they may have been getting slowly poisoned for years at this point.
It is understood that around 26,000 homes across the country will receive similar notifications of a slow death in the coming weeks.
Lead builds up inside the body over time, and causes serious health issues, specially in young children, like fatigue, seizures, nausea, anemia, miscarriages, etc.
