Spanish energy giant Iberdrola has announced its exit from the Irish market due to unfavorable market conditions.
The company currently supplies gas and electricity to around 32,000 customers here.
Once the exit is complete, gas customers will be supplied by Bord Gáis Energy and electricity customers will become customers of Electric Ireland.
