Ukraine crisis: Two Russian soldiers get 11.5 years in jail apiece for their role in bombing civilian targets

Two Russian soldiers have got 11.5 years sentences apiece for their role in bombing civilian targets.

The convicts, named as Oleksandr Bobykin and Oleksandr Ivanov, had pleaded guilty to firing Grad rockets into homes and other non-military targets in the Kharkiv region.

These sentences follow that of 21-year-old Vadim Shishimarin, who was sentenced to life in prison for killing a 62-year-old civilian.

The Kremlin appears to have abandoned all three soldiers to their fate.
