A high pressure moving towards Ireland will bring mild and settled weather conditions this week, but forecasters say that cold temperatures may return towards Sunday evening.
The west and north west of the country will enjoy the best of the weather this week, though it will feel a bit chilly on eastern coasts due to winds coming in from an easterly direction.
Though there will likely be some light rain around coastal counties on Thursday and Friday, the outlook is for a settled, mild week ahead, with temperatures rising to about 16C in places.
Forecasters warn that another spell of unseasonably cold weather may return by next week, however, so enjoy the sun while you can.
