Following the Easter’s Muslim terrorist attacks against Christians in the country, Sri Lanka’s government has expelled over 200 Muslim clerics.

Churches in Sri Lanka have remained closed as security officials still work to root out the Muslim terrorists still present in the country and authorities have clamped down on foreign citizens who have overstayed their visas.

The government launched multiple operations to hunt down and capture or kill Muslim extremists in the country. In one incident a wife of one of the suicide bombers who carried out the Easter attack blew herself up along with her unborn child and her two other young children. Two policemen were also killed attempting to arrest the woman.

The country has also banned the burka in the aftermath of the Muslim terrorist attacks that killed hundreds.

The attack was carried out by a group of Jihadi’s who pledge allegiance to the Islamic State.
