There are reports of a stabbing incident inside a Social Welfare Office in Portlaoise, Co. Laois, earlier today.
It is understood that an altercation occurred inside the facility on Church St. in the town at about 11am this morning, and a man in his 20s received stab wounds.
He was rushed to hospital, where his injuries are described as non-life threatening.
A man also in his 20s was arrested shortly afterwards.
